The Tournament is Over - v1.0.2
Hello all.
A couple days ago, I attempted to write a blog post called “Choosing a Medium”, about a recent project I had canned. Whilst writing this blog post, I had a more reflective session than I anticipated.
The long and short of it is, I will not be continuing development on ToV. I have pushed an update containing the work I have done up to now (not much), and updated the tov_animations.zip and tov_extra.zip that supporters get.
I will be leaving the donation option open for those who want the animations, artbook, etc. I am truly sorry to people who supported this game expecting a full project (as I had promised). I simply cannot continue work on this project.
Thank you for your time. I will be taking a step back from game development for quite some time to figure out where I am mentally.

Can someone help me?
CPU? GPU? OS? Any logs in
%APPDATA%\Tournament of Venus\? I need more than “it doesn’t work”It’s very likely an issue with Windows 7 or your CPU - I think the instruction sets are not supported on the Athlon. You can check here - https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/about/system_requirements.html#id1
OpenGL 3.3 is also required for graphics - https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/1alam8g/how_do_i_check_what_open_gl_version_i_have/?solution=5d22031aaeffe0015d22031aaeffe001&js_challenge=1&token=bbbe4bf1c9a2b5160829c4be34da58613903d79c08d48df595f9f1fa94a16bba
You might just be out of luck, sorry
Im kinda new to this so I do not know what data im looking for in the app data
but y tho
I wrote about it broadly on my blog, but tl;dr, ToV was WAY too big relative to the skillset I possess. It should’ve been completely re-spec’ed from scratch, but I wanted to keep the structure. This mistake cascaded into so many problems that I can’t reasonably finish it.
what are you doing next?
please feel free to contact on telegram.
As the blog post says, I will be taking an extended break from yiff gamedev. The focus of next projects will be small games that don’t require me to rely on an outside artist.
Bad news
dissappointing, but you need to take care of yourself. good luck with everything.

Sad to ear that, but I wish all the best to you and hope everything works out!
Best of luck to you! Don't rush and don't force change.
